have you ever read the Dhammapada? or the Bhagavad Gita? a lot of what you're saying here reminds me of them, or what is revealed through the process of vipassana meditation. it also reminds me of what we find by looking at ourselves through a lense of evolutionary psychology (or combining vipassana with evolutionary psychology to understand the self).
Heyyy, I still haven’t read the Bhagavad Gita but I’ll add both of them to my list. I know it’s a book of deep wisdom. But it’s amazing how the same satoris can emerge through such similar practices and intentions, even across different paths.
the use of ‘meta-awareness’ was striking, that extra shock of profound awareness that can give you the chills…the “immense light” we hope to be doused in. nice work
"Ruh is not an abstraction. It is the breath of God within you. It does not need convincing—it needs unveiling. The Qalb is the interface" and Nafs is the interference/turbulence in the Qalb. When Nafs becomes Sound, it can see it call and finds peace.
Indeed, once Nur descends upon the heart and intellect through the Ruh, the Nafs is cleansed and elevates to a higher stage and thus, we experience tranquility. Thank you adding!

This is beautiful Mobeen, this was an awakening for me. Loved it.
Deep. I’ll need to read this a few times to grasp more.
The excerpts I’ve been reading are so juicy, I can’t wait to devour it ❤️🔥
